A mentor is a monster. The mentors like to eat fairies. The
mentor used to come up o fairies while they were asleep and they would eat
them. Because of this fairies used to sleep in holes. They did this for a while
until the mentor figured out that they were sleeping under ground. After that
fairies would have a lookout every night. The only bad thing was then during
the day the lookout would get tired and fall asleep. While asleep the mentor
would sneak up on the fairy and eat him.
The
fairies decided to have a meeting. They decided that they would have a few
fairies look out during the day while the lookout during the night could sleep.
The first time they did this a mentor came to eat the fairy. The other fairies
woke up the fairy sleeping. Once the fairy woke up they flew away before the
mentor could catch them. The fairies decided they would do this every day. The
mentors would come every night but they could never catch any fairies. Because
of this the mentor stopped coming and the fairies stopped looking out for the
mentor at night.
